Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre knows that facing the possibility of breast cancer is a stressful experience, and the most painful part of that experience is not the procedures, but the waiting. That’s why, by working together with the doctors of The Regional Health System of Acadiana, we are able to offer biopsy procedures within 1-2 days after an abnormality is found, not weeks.
Biopsy procedures available at our center include:
- Fine Needle Aspiration
- Stereotactic Core Needle Biopsy
- Ultrasound-directed Needle Biopsy
- Vacuum-assisted Device Biopsy
- MRI-guided Needle Biopsy
